The Bluefoot Runner enjoys other sports besides running! :) Yup yup! Yesterday, I took time off chasing pavements to watch UAAP Volleyball Season 72 at the Arena! Together with my beau, we saw AdMU and UST battle it out in the ladies division round 1 of eliminations. I was cheering for the Blue Eagle Spikers of course, but they were clobbered easily in four sets by UST.
UST players showed more cohesion and confidence in their game. Worth noting is Caballejo (#11) who definitely stood out in the court with her killer spikes. In contrast, Ateneo was obviously feeling each other’s game which caused them to lose a lot of easy points.
It’s still too early to be downtrodden though as there will be more actions to see in the coming days! UAAP Volleyball Season 72 is going to be interesting. I hope I can get to watch more live games in the next few weeks.
Incidentally, did you know that running is one of the most efficient cross-training sports? These volleyball players also run some laps to warm up, improve their agility and practice their speed.
